Since Christmas 2025, Gerd Reutter has been planning and working on a new piece. As part of this process, he has produced several sketches. These offer a unique glimpse into his creative vision and working methods. In addition, the first photos of the work on the clay itself have now been released.
Gerd Reutter comes from an artistic family. Not only was his brother, Paul Reutter, a painter, but there are also family ties to Oscar Boeira, one of the first and most important Impressionist artists from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Under the motto “Art for EVERYONE,” the Mannheim Artists' Legacies Foundation ist hosting a sales event. Works by Gerd Reutter will also be on offer.
To mark its 20th anniversary, the Mannheim Artists` Legacies Foundation is showing works by 17 local artists, including Gerd Reutter. You can find more information here. Among other pieces, Reutter`s work RÜCKGRAT is on display accompanied by the following audio (in German):

From July 15th to 28th. The sculptor Gerd Reutter opens the doors of his studio on Kleinfeldstrasse to visitors. On his 93rd birthday he presented his new work Asteroid Belt.
